ConnectApp [ this Application ] is exclusively used by members of FTS, an organization that is dedicated to spread primary education across the villages of India. The primary aim of this application is to collect data of these schools effectively from the last mile; the teachers and functionaries who work relentlessly in the villages. All the users of this application are briefed on its purpose and use, and are aware of the different types of information collected by the application.

Collection & Processing of Data

Registration and Authentication

By registering and authenticating, the Users allow this Application to identify them and give them access to dedicated services, e.g. Push Notification [ to be implemented ].

The Application uses Direct registration, it does not involve any third party registration platform. The User registers by filling out the registration form and providing the Personal Data directly to this Application.

Personal Data collected: First name, Last name and Phone number.

Unique device identification

This Application also collects the unique identifier of their device, for analytics purposes.

Location-based interactions

The Application collects the latitude and longitude information of the device based on GPS triangulation algorithm. This data is used to map the device to the particular school whose information is being submitted by the user.

The data is also used in backend analytics that tries to answer questions like:

a) How many villages in a State do not yet have a school.

b) What is the mean distance between two schools.

c) Are are the schools properly “spread” based on population density of the village.

This Application does not support “Do Not Track” requests.

Data Controller and Owner

This Application does not share the collected data with any third party services or applications. All the data processing is done by the organization for its internal study.

Mode & Place of processing Data

Methods of processing

The Data Controller processes the Data of Users in a proper manner and takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.

Place

The Data is processed at the Data Controller’s operating offices. The web server for the Application is a secured cloud based virtual private server.

Retention time

The Data is kept for the time necessary to provide the analytics and services that the Application provides.
